“This experience was very expensive. We paid a lot of money for a dip in a fancy “hot tub”. It was underwhelming at best. There should’ve been an option to pay for a two hour experience. There was not. We paid for a full day experience for two. There wasn’t enough to do there for a full day.”
Spend 7 to 8 hours with a private English-speaking guide exploring Budapest’s Buda and Pest districts. Visit churches, Parliament viewpoints, Jewish memorials, markets, castles, and thermal baths, with hotel pickup and a route shaped around your interests and walking pace.

“It was a fun trip with plenty of traditional food for everyone and great entertainment at the horse show. Unfortunately, the lead guide made it difficult for those of us with the English speaking guide as she was speaking Spanish and Italian over a microphone on the bus. Whenever the English speaking guide was speaking to, she would speak over her with the microphone. Regardless, it was a really fun trip. A great way to get out of the city and see some of the countryside. The farm was fabulous and the show was fun!”

“Our tour guide was Odea and she was delightful. She was born in Mongolia, but has grown up in Budapest. She clearly loves the city that she calls home. This was an 8 hour walking tour with lunch and several stops. I am 65 years old but had a great day. Full of great sites and very informative. I now know the history of Hungary and of Budapest. Lots to learn. I slept well that night and loved every minute of our day. Odea was a fabulous young lady and made this tour special for my wife and me.”

“It was a bit of a let down. We found it hard to figure out the ones and outs of the towels and locker room, as there was no signage in English. The main floor attendant was super nice and had to help us out a few times. The pools were ok, the sauna was down for maintenance. Bring your own towel and bathing cap!!! We did another thermal bath outside of town and it was less crowded and had way more saunas.”
Start at the Opera House at 9 a.m. and spend 7.5 hours with a guide such as Zoltan, Fanni, or Emese, linking Budapest’s major sights by foot, metro, tram, and bus. Expect a traditional three-course lunch, dessert, drinks, and many exterior visits, but no entry to most landmarks.
“Emese, our tour guide made this experience very memorable. Learned so much about the history of Budapest (the good and the not so good), the culture and the people. I had an 84 year old companion who I thought won’t be able to endure the walking and stair climbing, but Emese made it such a way that we take it on our own pace. My pedometer recorded over 5 miles of total walking on and off that day. The weather was perfect (60’s high) used the public transportations (subway, bus) to get us to places that are too far to walk. The Hungarian lunch was good. It was an irony…”
